Overview

Over the past 135 years, Avon has established themselves as a beauty pioneer that continuously works to support women in addressing the inequalities and discrimination they face. Avon wants to create a better world for women, by helping them transform both their personal and societal appearance.

Today, Avon has grown from a small door-to-door perfume salesforce, to a world leading beauty brand. Avon Canada, Inc. manufactures and sells affordable cosmetics, accessories, toiletries, and fragrance products, which they primarily distribute through an independent sales force across Canada.

To empower their sales representatives, Avon sought a provider that allowed them to craft a rewards program that incentivizes sales staff for exceptional performance.

To accomplish this, Avon required a means to distribute funds to sales representatives, in a way in which maintained the experience within their brand’s ecosystem

The Challenge
Provide sales representatives with a small cash payout when they meet or exceed personal annual sales goals.
Design, manufacture and distribute branded Prepaid Visa Gift Cards
Load funds onto cards enabling employees to spend earned rewards

The Solution

Prepaid Visa Gift Cards

Avon partnered with Berkeley to offer Prepaid Visa gift cards. These cards run through the Visa Network, and function just as any regular debit or credit card.

Dedicated Program Manager

Avon was assigned their very own Berkeley Payments Program Manager, providing one-on-one support in order to make sure their Prepaid Visa Gift Card program runs effortlessly.

Custom Artwork

Berkeley worked with Avon to create fully branded and customized  card artwork. Each card has the option to include an embossed “Congratulations!” message on the bottom of the card, as well as the sales representative’s name.

24/7/365 Bilingual Cardholder Support

Berkeley provides 24/7/365 cardholder support for Avon customers via web, IVR, and live-agent channels; ensuring happy cardholders at any time, anyplace.

The Result

For two years, Avon has worked with Berkeley Payments to enable their  President’s Club Rewards program to incentivize sales representatives. Semi-annually, Avon provides Berkeley with a list of sales representatives that have met or exceeded their personal annual sales goals. Depending on their years of employment and sales volume, Berkeley issues each sales representative an Avon branded Prepaid Visa Gift Card that can be spent anywhere that accepts payment through the Visa network.

“We are pleased to recommend Berkeley Payments for their superior services they have provided Avon Canada Inc. over the last two years.  We are very satisfied with their overall performance and industry knowledge. The company has provided excellent and prompt client support services for our team and Avon representatives.”
